ASA filament 2.85 mm ash grey 1000 g; Product description Our ASA filament (1.75 mm or 2.85 mm) is a Spain manufactured filament for 3D printers with FFF/DM technology. ASA is Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene Copolymer Plastic. Our ASA improves weather resistance with high UV resistance and retains all its mechanical properties. The slightly cross-linked acrylate rubber particles (instead of ABS butadiene rubber) work like a impact modifier, are chemically refined with styrene acrylate copolymer chains and are embedded in styrene acrylonitrile matrix. Acrylate rubber differs from butadiene-based rubber as there are no double compounds, which gives the material about ten times more weather resistance and UV resistance of ABS, long-term heat resistance and better chemical resistance. ASA is significantly more resistant to cracking due to ambient voltage than ABS. It has a lower glass transition temperature that gives the material better low temperatures. ASA is characterised by a high weather resistance outdoors, maintaining shine, colour and mechanical properties.
