In terms of raw strength, you will be clearly overadvantaged from the start. So you need to collect planets to join your cause and carry out targeted military strikes to sabotage the imperial construction sites and steal valuable information. To win the Galactic Civil War, you must influence the citizens of the galaxy for your cause. If you survive long enough and strengthen your reputation, inspire the galaxy to a comprehensive revolt and win.
