The iPhone4 is simply inserted into the AR-4i recording interface and connects via the 30-pin dock connector. From now on, the audio inputs of the Fostex AR-4i are available via the standard recording apps. Included are two miniature microphones with 3.5 mm jack connection (cardioid, replaceable), which can be mounted so that the iPhone can be operated either horizontally (landscape) or vertically (portrait). The Fostex AR-4i makes the iPhone4 the ideal companion for quick reports, interviews or (image) sound recordings without having to carry extensive equipment with you. Suitable for broadcastable posts as well as streaming reports or Youtube videos, the combination plays its strengths if it is to work quickly and easily and needs to sound good. Almost an always-on reportage unit.
