Real black campot pepper - from Cambodia directly from the pepper farm - hand-picked with love and gently dried in the sun. Excellent quality, made according to ancient ecological tradition. In the certified growing regions Kampot and Kep, the old traditions are preserved especially by small pepper farms. For the black Kampot pepper, the fresh peppercorns are harvested when the colour of the berries on the bush changes from green to yellow. Produced in premium quality – we at Uncle Spice cooperate with a small farm from the south of the province of Kampot. There, each pepper bush is constantly under strict assessment. The pepperberries are already tested on the shrub for the highest quality. Only organic fertilisers such as guano (bat droppings) are used. Each individual peppercorn must be picked by hand from the panicle, as the grains are ripe at different times A rarity in the highest quality – we at Uncle Spice only distribute the latest harvest of the highest quality. This means that you will not only get the most aromatic Kampot pepper of the year, but also the Kampot pepper, which is completely free of bad grains. In several steps, all foreign bodies, weak and grey berries are sorted out. In addition, our pepper is cleaned in germ-free water and then gently sun-dried. INTENSE AROMA - BLACK KAMPOT PEPPER Only during the drying process under the sun of Cambodia do the peppercorns become black-shrinking and the black Kampot pepper shows its true identity. It combines aromas of mint, eucalyptus and thyme in a full-bodied, strong pepper taste. The Kampot black pepper goes perfectly with grilled and fried, salads, peppers, cucumbers, vegetables and also particularly good with pasta dishes with Parmesan.
