As an extraordinary talent, he is brought to the court of Empress Maria Theresa in Vienna. However, in the narrow-minded art climate there, the wayward artist cannot assert himself. Disillusioned, he moves to his brother to Pressburg, today's Bratislava. There he takes on some orders, but works mainly on his later famous series of 55 character heads. It is brought admiration to him, but he prefers a very reclusive life until he suddenly dies at the age of 47. The work - a powerful man The wayward and whimsical German sculptor who created his famous character heads first in Vienna and later in Pressburg, today's Bratislava. The Parastone Mouseion Collection These fantastically beautiful sculptures were designed primarily in the Parastone Studios. A company that was already in 1880, then under a different name, mainly engaged in the restoration of church artwork. In addition, figures and sculptures were already made according to their own designs at this time. Today, the Studios enrich the collection of replicas of famous works of art with their Mouseion collection.
