Description

These pads are designed to clean the 7.62mm star chamber, locking tabs on the barrel extension (bolt locking area) and the front of the chamber. Comes with a male adapter (including a nut to hold the pad on the rod adapter) that can be threaded onto any standard 8-32 gun cleaning rod. How to use: thread a star pad onto the cleaning rod adapter, use the nut to hold the pad firmly on the rod adapter and insert into the chamber. The pad is cut to fit the locking lugs of the 7.62mm .308 cal star chamber. You can then turn the rod/pad clockwise to wipe behind the eyelets. It is better to apply some oil/solvent to soften the dirt/carbon in the chamber, then use the pads to clean, absorb the pads and hold the cleaning solvent well. Made of high density compressed wool felt, quite stiff.
