This product and technology presentation was upgraded at the 2018 Shot Show. Among the different models, the Bushnell Advance Red Dot is probably the most suitable for use with a short gun. On the one hand, its red dot size of 5 MOAs already requires its range of application in close range. On the other hand, it is prepared for mounting on semi-automatic guns, including the Glock No. 1 x Mounting Plate A base for mounting on a Picatinny rail is also included. This construction makes it a small scope in terms of dimensions (44 mm length) and weight (62 g) but with a special robustness. The constant shocks that a slide inflicts on such a device force it to have special resistance properties. As we know, the typical problems of poor quality red dots are the loss of the zero point and the flickering of the point. The Bushnell Advance Red Dot is part of the AR OPTICS range, which is a guarantee of reliability as it has been designed for military use. Interesting for the user are also the more than 160 MOA correction that the optics offer. With 80 MOAs adjustment up and 80 MOAs down, this optics can be adjusted to almost any platform. The 5 MOA point is good for short distance shooting as it covers the target at medium distance or when using a magnifying glass in most cases. With this optics, the setting of each click corresponds to a deviation of 0.5 MOAs. The brightness settings of this SLR lens are well designed. The up and down buttons protrude slightly from the rubber case, which is a clear tactile reference.
