We tested several oils from the Tuscan province before we came across our extra virgin olive oil basil. We attach special importance to the basil aroma. Many oils seemed too bitter to us and some tasted only like dried herbs. This was different here and we immediately liked the full aroma of fresh basil. The basis for this truly delicate all-rounder is a cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, with a very low oleic acid content of less than 0.5%. The low oleic acid is a clear indicator of the low yield during pressing and tells us a lot about the quality of olive oil. Immediately after the oil harvest, the fresh olive oil is flavoured with expressive aromas of fresh basil. This creates a harmonious combination with the fruity aromas of the cold-pressed oil. No flavour enhancers or preservatives are used. Wonderful for bruschetta or mozzarella caprese!
